Indian star survives close call

Yashasvi Jaiswal is an Indian cricketer who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). On September 18, 2021, during a match between Rajasthan Royals and England, Jaiswal was caught behind by English wicketkeeper Jos Buttler. However, the umpire ruled that Jaiswal had not been caught cleanly and gave him not out.

The decision was made after a review of the footage from the third umpire's camera, which showed that the ball had hit Jaiswal's glove but not his bat. The umpire also took into account the position of Buttler's body when he caught the ball and determined that it was not a clean catch.

The decision sparked controversy and disbelief among the English players and fans, who felt that Jaiswal should have been given out. However, the ruling was upheld by the match referee and Rajasthan Royals went on to win the match.

It is worth noting that in cricket, a clean catch is one where the ball hits the batsman's bat first and then goes directly into the wicketkeeper's gloves without touching any other part of the body. In this case, the ball hit Jaiswal's glove before it went into Buttler's gloves, so it was not a clean catch.
