Denied poll ticket, Mohiuddin Bava quits Congress; joins JD(S)

Former MLA Mohiuddin Bava quit the Congress after he was denied a ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections in Karnataka and joined the Janata Dal(Secular) on Thursday. Mohiuddin Bava, who met the JD(S) supremo and former PM HD Devegowda, announced that he will contest from Mangaluru North ticket from a JD(S) ticket. Bava was a close aide of Congress' Siddaramaiah.
