Two remanded after 147 migrants arrive from Lebanon

On Saturday, two men were remanded at Famagusta district court in connection with two boats that reached Cape Greco carrying 147 migrants. The migrants identified the two men, aged 19 and 21, as the boat drivers during questioning. The two men were remanded for six days while investigations continue. According to Famagusta police spokesman Steve, the migrants were found in good health and were being provided with food, water, and medical assistance. The police are working closely with international organizations to ensure the safe return of the migrants to their countries of origin.
