UX/Product Engineer at Porter | Y Combinator
### The Role:
We're looking for a product engineer with strong design chops who is fluent in React/Typescript and CSS. Simply put, we want someone who will take [Porter's](https://porter.run) usability and UX/visual polish to the next level. You will be involved in all feature discussions and will shape the trajectory of our product.
### You will:
* Improve the UI/UX and organization of the dashboard
* Implement a design system and define the visual language of our platform
* Raise the standard for code quality and our engineering culture
### Who we're looking for:
We value rate of learning above all else. That said, complete fluency in React/Typescript and CSS is expected. If you can balance being collaborative while still taking pride in your work, we'd love to talk. As is the case with most early-stage startups, you should be comfortable with regularly shifting priorities and iterating at a very rapid (daily) velocity.
You should be comfortable wearing multiple hats and might sometimes be expected to act in a PM-like capacity to execute your product vision for Porter.
### Tech stack:
* Web: React (styled-components), TypeScript
* Backend: Go, Kubernetes + Helm APIs, Postgres, Redis
* Infrastructure: AWS, GCP
Porter is open source. You can view our entire codebase [here](https://github.com/porter-dev/porter).
*Our team is currently based in NYC, but we are open to remote hiring for those who can guarantee overlap with our core working hours (Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm ET). If you're in New York City, we're happy to discuss specific working arrangements.*
