2nd term: I’ll constitute inclusive cabinet, says Gov. Diri

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has announced that members of other political parties may be included in the new cabinet to be unveiled soon. This was stated by the governor during a weekly five-kilometre Prosperity Walk held on Thursday, which ended at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Diri's statement suggests that he is open to working with individuals from different political backgrounds to form a more inclusive government. This approach could help to bring together diverse perspectives and ideas, potentially leading to better decision-making and improved governance for the people of Bayelsa State.

It is worth noting that Diri was elected as governor on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019. However, he has previously expressed a willingness to work with other political parties and stakeholders to promote development and progress in the state.

In addition to his statement about the new cabinet, Diri also spoke about the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the state's goals. He emphasized the need for all residents of Bayelsa State to come together and work towards a common purpose, regardless of their political affiliations.

Overall, Diri's announcement about the new cabinet suggests that he is committed to promoting inclusivity and collaboration in governance, which could have positive implications for the state's development and progress.
