Answer: sudo systemctl stop systemd-resolved.service #to stop the dns that is local to the Server
then disable it by issuing the command below:
sudo systemctl disable systemd-resolved.service
2. Then edit the resolve.conf file to point to another dns resolver like 8.8.8.8
sudo nano /etc/resolv.conf
+1 888-688-2939 
nameserver 8.8.8.8
options YourValueWillDiffer
search YourValueWillDiffer
